Bublik falls to Coric in Monte-Carlo Masters opening round

Kazakhstan's top seed Alexander Bublik was defeated by Croatia's Borna Coric in the opening round of the Monte-Carlo Masters with a score of 1:6, 1:6.

The match lasted for 1 hour and 4 minutes, with both players serving two aces. Bublik committed eight double faults, while Coric had five. Bublik managed to convert one break point, whereas Coric capitalized on 6 out of 12 opportunities.

Coric currently holds the 32nd position in the world rankings, while Bublik is placed 18th. Coric is set to face Jan-Lennard Struff from Germany on April 10th.

During the match, Bublik even allowed a Bulgarian fan to play tennis on the court. It was also reported that Kazakhstan's top doubles player, Alexander Nedovyesov, clinched the doubles title at the ATP-250 tournament in Estoril, Portugal.
