The first stage of the World Aquatics Cup in artistic swimming concluded in Beijing, China from April 5th to 7th, 2024. A total of 85 athletes from 14 countries participated in the event. The Kazakhstan national team, consisting of 15 athletes, excelled in the competition, bringing home one gold, two silver, and two bronze medals.
The Kazakhstani representatives in artistic swimming claimed the gold medal in the "Group Acrobatic Program" discipline, surpassing teams from China (second place) and Australia (third place). The team included Nargiza Bolatova, Eteri Kakutia, Aigerim Kurmangalievа, Ksenia Makarova, Arina Myasnikova, Anna Pavletsova, Zhaklin Yakimova, and Zhaniya Zhiengazy.
Nargiza Bolatova and Eduard Kim, who hold the title of "World Champions" from the 2024 championship in Doha, secured the silver medal in the technical program "Mixed Duets." Another Kazakhstani mixed duet, comprised of Anna Pavletsova and Viktor Druzin, also claimed silver in the free program.
The national group from Kazakhstan clinched the bronze in the technical program. Viktor Druzin, in the men's solo program, earned a spot on the podium, securing the third-place position and a bronze medal.
The Kazakhstan Federation of Aquatic Sports is a public organization that oversees all aquatic sports in the country, including swimming, water polo, artistic swimming, diving, and open water swimming. It is a member of the continental federation Asia Aquatics and the global federation World Aquatics.
