In Tokyo, the qualification matches of the Billie Jean King Cup between the national teams of Kazakhstan and Japan are currently ongoing. The opening match witnessed Anna Danilina facing Nao Hibino, with Danilina experiencing a defeat with a score of 1:6, 0:6 in just 52 minutes. Danilina managed to score one ace, committed three double faults, and was unable to convert two break points.

The upcoming match will feature Kazakhstan's second seed Yulia Putintseva against former world No. 1 and four-time Grand Slam singles champion Naomi Osaka, with the aim of leveling the competition score.

Scheduled for April 13 are the matches: Yulia Putintseva vs. Nao Hibino, Anna Danilina vs. Naomi Osaka, and the doubles match Anna Danilina/Zhibek Kulambaeva vs. Shuko Aoyama/Ena Shibahara. The second day of play will start at 9:00 Kazakhstan time.
