Magomadov's success in Bishkek adds to his previous triumph at the 2023 Asian Championship in Astana, where he secured the top spot in the 72-kilogram weight category. Meanwhile, Tursynov clinched a silver medal in the 87-kilogram weight class after facing Iranian wrestler Nasser Alizade in the final match, with Alizade emerging victorious with a score of 5:0.
Notably, Tursynov and Alizade had previously competed in the final of the 2023 Asian Championship in Astana, where the Iranian wrestler also emerged as the champion. These recent achievements by Kazakh wrestlers further solidify the country's strong presence in the field of Greco-Roman wrestling.
Before Magomadov and Tursynov's victories, Erzhet Zharlykasyn, representing the Kazakh team, secured a gold medal at the Asian Championship in Bishkek, highlighting Kazakhstan's dominance in the sport at the regional level.
