The draw for the Kazakhstan Cup of the current season took place in Astana, determining the group stages of the preliminary round with the participation of KPL clubs.
In the preliminary stage, 19 First and Second League clubs are divided into 6 groups, where they will play one game each, according to the QFL press service.
The winners of the 6 groups will proceed to play for a spot in the next round against the winners of neighboring groups (A-B, C-D, E-F) in a single match.
March 11-19: First round of the preliminary stage.
March 21-23: Preliminary stage playoffs.
All matches will take place at the BIIK Stadium in Shymkent.
In the second stage of the Republic Cup, 13 Premier League clubs and the winners of the preliminary stage will participate, with opponents determined by ranking. Winners of the 1/8 and 1/4 final matches will be decided in one game, while the semi-finals will follow a "home and away" system.
The final match of the current tournament will be held on September 29.
The current holder of the country's Cup is FC Tobol, who defeated Ordabasy from Shymkent 1-0 in the final of the previous season, thanks to a goal by Islam Chesnokov.
