Kazakh Gymnast Milad Karimi Wins Gold at World Cup in Doha

Kazakh gymnast Milad Karimi claimed the gold medal at the World Cup in artistic gymnastics in Doha, Qatar, on April 19th. According to the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan, Karimi excelled in the floor exercise category, scoring 14.766 points in the final to secure the victory. British gymnast Luke Whitehouse took the second spot with 14.566 points, while Kazakh gymnast Dmitry Patanin clinched the third position with 14.500 points. The competition also saw Nariman Kurbanov competing for an Olympic license in the finals of the pommel horse exercise.

In another sporting success for Kazakhstan, Ibrahim Magomedov and Nursultan Tursynov had earlier won two medals at the Asian Championship in Greco-Roman wrestling in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on April 15th.
