Kazakh Athletes Shine in Olympic Qualifiers Across Different Sports

Kazakh freestyle wrestler Alisher Ergali secured an Olympic license at the Asian qualifiers in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Representing Kazakhstan in the 97kg category, Ergali triumphed over China's Avusayman Habila with a score of 3:2.

In another success story, Yusup Batyrmurzaev from the Kazakh wrestling team also earned an Olympic license. Batyrmurzaev dominated the 125kg category in Bishkek, defeating Shamily Sharipov from Bahrain with a score of 7:3 in the semifinals.

Furthermore, Kazakh gymnast Nariman Kurbanov clinched an Olympic license after a remarkable performance at the World Cup stage in Doha, Qatar. Despite finishing fourth in the pommel horse exercise, Kurbanov secured the second position in the world rankings, guaranteeing his ticket to the 2024 Olympics.

Kurbanov's coach, Alexander Kim, expressed delight at his qualification, highlighting the gymnast's impressive ranking and determination. Meanwhile, Milad Karimi from Kazakhstan claimed a gold medal at the World Cup event in Doha on the same day, adding to the country's sporting achievements.
