Kazakh wrestler Demeu Zhadraev qualified for the Olympics in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. According to the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan, Zhadraev secured victory in the semifinals of the 77-kilogram weight category. Despite initially trailing, he executed a successful move near the end, leading to his triumph. Another Kazakh wrestler, Alimkhan Syzdykov, also secured an Olympic quota in Bishkek, winning his match against a Kyrgyz opponent. Previously, Aidos Sultangali from Kazakhstan had also qualified for the Olympics in Greco-Roman wrestling.
