Kazakhstan's Modern Pentathlon Team Wins Gold at World Cup in Ankara

The Kazakhstan team for modern pentathlon has clinched a gold medal at the World Cup stage in Ankara, Turkey. According to the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan, our athletes secured first place in the mixed relay.

The country was represented by Pavel Ilyashenko and Elena Potapenko in this program. The Kazakhstani pentathletes scored 1327 points, concluding their performance with a "gold." Egypt's team finished second, with Italy rounding out the top three.

Earlier, it was reported that Kazakhstan nearly caused an upset at the Modern Pentathlon World Cup. The Kazakhstan team (mixed) was awarded a silver medal at the World Cup stage in Cairo, Egypt's capital.
