In the quest for a spot in the semifinals, Anna teamed up with Bibiana Schoofs from the Netherlands and secured a victory against the duo of Ana Filipa Santos from Portugal and Lucia Cortes-Llorca from Spain with a score of 6:3, 6:1.
In their opening match, Anna and Bibiana defeated the Romanian duo of Irina Maria Bara and Andrea Mitu with a score of 6:2, 6:2.
This tournament marks Anna Danilina's first appearance since representing Kazakhstan in the Billie Jean King Cup.
