In the third match of the Youth World Hockey Championship, the team of Kazakhstan met with Czech Republic on April 29.
According to the Ice Hockey Federation of Kazakhstan, in the first period, the opponent took the lead with two goals, one of which was managed to be played back in the last minute of the game segment, with a goal scored by Roman Bolshedvorskiy.
"In the second period, Korney Korneev equalized the score, but towards the end of the second twenty-minute period, the opponent once again took the lead. Taking the game to overtime was made possible by a goal from Alexander Perkin. The match was sealed by Mstislav Shipilin, bringing the first victory for the Kazakhstan national team at the World Championship," the statement said.

Earlier, it was reported that the Junior Asian Athletics Championships (U-20) in Dubai, UAE, concluded, where representatives of the Kazakhstan national team earned eight medals of various qualities, one of which was gold.
