In the Spanish city of Lleida, the WTA-125 Catalonia Open tournament is currently taking place. Kazakh tennis player Anna Danilina competed in the quarterfinals of the doubles event.
Together with Estonian athlete Ingrid Neel, the Kazakh player secured a victory against the duo of Nao Hibino from Japan and Fang-Yi Wu from Taiwan with a score of 6:3, 6:3.
The match lasted for 1 hour and 8 minutes. During this time, the Kazakhstani-Estonian pair served once, made five double faults, and converted six out of nine break points.
In the opening round of the Catalonia Open WTA 125, Anna Danilina and Ingrid Neel defeated the American duo of Hailey Baptiste and Alycia Parks in straight sets with a score of 7:6, 6:4.
Earlier, Kazakh player Dmitri Popko suffered a defeat at the ATP Challenger Tour event in Brazil.
