Representatives of the Kazakhstan national shooting team took second place at the World Cup stage in Baku, Azerbaijan. Eldar Imankulov and Valeriya Popelova were awarded the silver medals.
Kazakh shooters earned the "silver" in the mixed team air pistol shooting competitions (10 meters).
In the final performance, the Kazakh pair lost to the duo from Turkey - Simal Yilmaz and Ismail Keles. Chinese athletes, world champions - Li Hue and Yu Hie, took the third step of the podium.
In Baku, 21 athletes from Kazakhstan are defending the country's honor, with these competitions being considered ranking ones for them.
Meanwhile, our team representative in trap shooting, Eduard Yeshchenko, performed well at the qualification tournament in Doha, Qatar. During these competitions, he secured a quota for participation in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
