Kazakh tennis player Yulia Putintseva has confidently defeated the 18th-ranked American player Madison Keys in straight sets to advance to the third round of the WTA-1000 series tournament. The match lasted 1 hour and 22 minutes, during which Putintseva converted five out of seven break points and made five double faults. On the other hand, Madison Keys converted one out of eight break points and committed one double fault.

In the upcoming round, Yulia Putintseva will face the world's number one player from Poland, Iga Swiatek. Prior to this match, Putintseva defeated Tamara Korpach from Germany (ranked 76th) with a score of 6:2, 6:3, and then sensationally beat the Russian player Ekaterina Alexandrova (ranked 16th) with a score of 7:5, 6:1.

Meanwhile, Kazakh tennis player Alexander Bublik was defeated in the third round of the Indian Wells tournament by the 10th-ranked Australian player Alex de Minaur with a score of 5:7, 0:6.
