Yelena Rybakina, Kazakhstan's number one tennis player, has become the only female player to hit over 500 winners at WTA 1000 tournaments last year.
According to the statistical resource OptaAce, the Kazakhstani player has accumulated 570 points through her active play.
The draw for the clay court WTA 1000 tournament in Rome, scheduled to take place from May 7 to 19, was held yesterday. The defending champion of the tournament, Yelena Rybakina from Kazakhstan, has been seeded second by the organizers. She will skip the first round and will face either Romanian player Irina Begu or a qualifier in the second round.
