Khachanov Triumphs Over Shevchenko in Clay Tournament at Rome Masters

In a clay tournament match at the "Masters" in Rome, Italy on May 10th, Kazakh tennis player Alexander Shevchenko (ranked 60th in the world) faced off against Russian player Karen Khachanov (ranked 18th in the world).

Karen Khachanov emerged victorious with a score of 6:4, 6:4 after a match that lasted 1 hour and 41 minutes. Both players scored three aces each during the game. Khachanov made one double fault and managed to convert three out of four break points, while Shevchenko had two double faults and only converted one break point.

It was not the first time these two players met on the court as opponents. They had previously faced each other at an ATP-250 tournament in Metz, France, where Shevchenko, representing Russia, claimed the victory.

Prior to this match, Alexander Shevchenko advanced to the second round of the ATP1000 tournament in Rome by defeating Fabian Marozhan (ranked 36th) in straight sets with a score of 6:3, 6:2.
