Kazakhstani Tennis Player Bublik Advances in Rome Masters Doubles Event

In Rome (Italy), the clay court tournament of the "Masters" series (ATP-1000) is taking place. Kazakh tennis player Alexander Bublik played a match in the second round in the doubles category.

In the quest for a spot in the quarterfinals, the Kazakhstani player, paired with American Ben Shelton, secured a victory against the duo of Alexander Zverev (Germany) and Marcelo Melo (Brazil) with a score of 2:6, 6:3, 10:7.

The match lasted for 1 hour and 20 minutes. During this time, Bublik and Shelton served an ace once, committed six double faults, and converted three out of seven break points.

In the quarterfinals, the Kazakhstani-American duo will compete against the top pair from the match Francisco Cerundolo / Thomas Martin Etcheverry (Argentina) – Kevin Krawietz / Tim Puetz (Germany).

In the first round of the "Masters" in Rome, Bublik and Shelton emerged victorious against the duo of Frances Tiafoe (USA) and Felix Auger-Aliassime (Canada) with a score of 6:1, 6:7, 10:7.
