In Oeiras, Portugal, the ATP Challenger tournament is currently taking place. Kazakhstani tennis player Dmitriy Popko competed in the first round match in the main draw of the singles event.
In his singles match, Dmitriy Popko (ATP No. 223) was defeated by Brazilian player Gustavo Heide (ATP No. 182) with a score of 1:6, 2:6.
Moving forward, Dmitriy Popko will continue his participation in the tournament in the doubles event, where he will team up with compatriot Beibit Zhukayev (ATP No. 174).
Another representative of Kazakhstan, Denis Yevseyev (ATP No. 177), will also be competing on the clay courts of Portugal.
In the qualification final, Dmitriy Popko emerged victorious against Lithuanian player Vilus Gaibas (ATP No. 285) with a score of 6:2, 6:3.
