In Parma, Italy, a WTA-125 tournament is currently taking place. The top female tennis player from Kazakhstan in the doubles category, Anna Danilina, has advanced to the semifinals.
In the second round of the doubles category (quarterfinals), the Kazakh player, paired with Russian player Irina Khromacheva, defeated the duo of Alena Fomina (Russia) and Julia Lohoff (Germany) with a score of 6:0, 6:2.
In just 50 minutes of playtime, the Kazakh-Russian duo served two aces, made two double faults, and converted six out of ten break points earned.
In the semifinals, Anna and Irina will face the Czech pair of Anna Siskova and Miriam Kolodziejova.
Danilina and Khromacheva are competing in the doubles category of the Italian tournament as the top-seeded pair.
Previously, Alexander Bublik along with Ben Shelton became the first semifinalists in the doubles category of the "Masters" in Rome.
