On May 19, the men's Kazakhstan fencing team won a bronze medal in the epee competition at the Challenge Monal tournament in Saint-Maur-des-Fosses.
According to the press service of the National Olympic Committee of the country, the fencers reached the semi-finals of the competition. In this round, they faced France, with the opponents emerging victorious with a score of 45-36.
In the match for the third place, Kazakhstan competed against Israel. The Kazakhstani fencers - Ruslan Kurbanov, Elmir Alimzhanov, Vadim Sharlaymov, and Erlik Sertay - effortlessly secured victory, becoming the holders of the bronze medals.
Additionally, Abiba Abuzyakov won a bronze medal at the World Judo Championship in Abu Dhabi, while gymnast Milad Karimi became the champion of Asia in artistic gymnastics in Tashkent.
