The Kazakhstan national football team, currently on a training camp in Dubai, has undergone a player swap. Ivan Sviridov from "Elimai" will replace the injured forward Ramazan Karimov from "Astana".
Twenty-one-year-old forward Ivan Sviridov has been called up to the Kazakhstani team since last season and has already played one game for the national team. A product of the Karaganda football school, he may feature in Magomed Adiev's starting lineup for the friendly match against Turkmenistan scheduled for March 14.
The national team is almost at full strength ahead of the match against Turkmenistan, with some players still to arrive due to their commitments in European leagues.
The main goal of the training camp in Dubai is to prepare the Kazakhstani players for a crucial match on the road to Euro 2024. On the night of March 22, Adiev's team will play away against Greece in the playoff semifinals for a spot in the European Championship in Germany.
The readiness for the match against Greece will be tested on March 14 when Kazakhstan plays a friendly against Turkmenistan, which will be held behind closed doors by mutual agreement.
