On March 14th, the Kazakhstan national football team played a friendly match against Turkmenistan and emerged victorious with a score of 2-0. The game served as a test for Magomed Adiev's team before their crucial match against Greece in the semi-finals of the Nations League play-offs.

During their training camp, the Kazakhstani players secured a 2-0 win against their Central Asian neighbors in a closed-door friendly match. The scoring was opened as early as the second minute by Islam Chesnokov, assisted by Maxim Samorodov. In the second half, Alexander Zuev doubled the lead for Kazakhstan.

This victory allowed the Kazakhstan team to assess their strengths and weaknesses before the important clash with Greece on the road to the 2024 UEFA European Championship in Germany. The team, led by Magomed Adiev, is set to face Greece in the play-off semi-final on the night of March 22nd. A potential victory would lead them to a match against the winner of the Georgia vs. Luxembourg pair.

Ahead of the crucial match, Kazakhstan made changes to their squad due to injuries and suspensions. Ivan Sviridov replaced the injured Ramazan Karimov, while Nuraly Alip will be absent from the game against Greece due to accumulated yellow cards. The team is gearing up for a challenging but promising journey towards the European Championship.
