in Environment / Kyrgyzstan - by

Water volume in the Toktogul Reservoir reaches 8 billion 245.3 million cubic meters. This information was reported by the "Electric Stations" Joint Stock Company. It is worth noting that on May 14, 2023, the water volume in Toktogul was 8 billion 184.85 cubic meters.

For the first time since the beginning of 2024, the water volume has exceeded that of the same period in 2023 by 60.45 million cubic meters. Currently, the water inflow exceeds the outflow by nine times, with an inflow of 1,143 cubic meters per second and an outflow of 127 cubic meters per second.

The water inflow has significantly increased in the last two days, surpassing the 1,000 cubic meters mark for the first time since June 2023.

This data indicates a positive trend in the water levels of the Toktogul Reservoir, providing important insights into water resource management in the region. The increase in water volume is a promising development for various sectors relying on the reservoir for water supply and energy generation.
