From May 6 to May 7, 2024, a Turkmen delegation was in Tashkent to participate in an international conference on climate change and adaptation. The news was reported by the online publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age."
The delegation included representatives from the Hydrometeorological Service of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, the Main Directorate of Civil Defense and Emergency Response of the Ministry of Defense of Turkmenistan, as well as experts from the UNDP/GEF project "Development of the national adaptation planning process in Turkmenistan."
During the conference, approaches to prioritizing adaptation efforts were discussed, and measures to support countries in preparing National Adaptation Plans were addressed.
