Emergency Headquarters in Atyrau Region Reports Critical Water Levels in Zhayyk River

The emergency headquarters for emergency situations of the Atyrau region today, on May 20, 2024, published data on the water level in the Zhayyk River (Ural).

As of 08:00 (compared to 08:00 on May 19), the water level in the Zhayyk River has exceeded critical marks in the administrative center of the Atyrau region and two villages:

- Zhayyk – Atyrau 573 cm, +3 cm, critical level 550 cm;

- Zhayyk – Makhambet 1015 cm, +4 cm, critical level 850 cm;

- Zhayyk – Inderbor 1016 cm, -5 cm, critical level 845 cm.

The water level is also approaching the critical mark in two other villages of the region:

- Zhayyk – Zhanatalap 416 cm, +4 cm, critical level 500 cm;

- Zhayyk – Erkinkala 374 cm, +4 cm, critical level 450 cm.
