The Ministry of Energy has developed a draft order "On Some Issues of Liquefied Petroleum Gas Transportation." The order is set to come into effect on May 14, 2024.
The draft order is currently available on the "Open Regulatory Acts" portal for public discussion until April 5, 2024. The Ministry of Energy previously clarified that the restriction is being introduced to ensure the supply of liquefied petroleum gas to the domestic market of Kazakhstan.
Currently, the restriction on the export of liquefied gas is in force in accordance with the ministerial order of November 13, 2023. It was announced earlier that the export of gasoline, diesel fuel, and certain petroleum products from Kazakhstan by road transport has been banned for six months.
