Kazakhstan Plans Gradual Increase in Liquefied Petroleum Gas Prices

During a briefing, Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliev announced the upcoming increase in the cost of liquefied petroleum gas in Kazakhstan. Journalists inquired about the timing and extent of the price hike. Satkaliev explained that the ministry plans for a slight increase of around 5-8 tenge per region annually. This year, the ministry is considering this adjustment in the spring.

On March 5th, the head of the Ministry of Energy reported a 28% rise in domestic consumption of liquefied petroleum gas in 2023 compared to 2022, reaching 2.2 million tons. This gradual price adjustment is part of the ministry's strategic plan for the industry's development and sustainability.
