On April 15, 2024, a joint order will come into force for launching a pilot project to provide the state service "Issuance of permits for transit through the territory of a foreign state to carriers of the Republic of Kazakhstan," particularly for transit through Uzbekistan.
From March 28 to April 15 of the current year, Uzbek permits of the type "to/from a third country" will be issued in paper form at the border and starting from April 15, also in electronic form at the border.
This mechanism aims to allow conscientious carriers to simplify freight transportation with Uzbekistan and eliminate speculation with queue places and permit forms. The committee clarified that the paper foreign permit form issued at the state border must be returned to the Transport Control Inspection at the carrier's place of registration.
It was previously mentioned that the issuance of permit forms for transit through Uzbekistan has been simplified for Kazakhstani carriers.
