Committee of Industry Introduces Amendment to Jewelry Regulations in Kazakhstan

in Economy / Kazakhstan - by

The Committee of Industry has proposed an amendment to the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development regulation regarding the identification of jewelry and other products manufactured or sold in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This proposal aims to exempt certain items from mandatory testing and marking by authorized organizations. Specifically, products intended for export to non-Eurasian Economic Union countries will not require mandatory testing and marking if they bear the manufacturer's mark.

This change is designed to alleviate financial pressures on local jewelry producers. The document is currently open for public discussion on the "Open Regulatory Acts" website until May 8th.
