The Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development has prepared a resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on "Certain Issues of Special Economic Zones," as reported by a news source.
The document extends the validity period of the following nine SEZs until 2049:
- Park of Innovation Technologies;
- Ontyustik;
- Saryarka;
- Pavlodar;
- Khorgos – Eastern Gates;
- Jibek Joly;
- Astana – Technopolis;
- TURAN;
- Qyzyljar.
It is envisaged that the special legal regime of the special economic zones until January 1, 2049, will only apply to participants who have signed a contract to operate as a participant of the special economic zone after the entry into force of this resolution.
It is also anticipated that the adoption of the project will contribute to the investment attractiveness of the special economic zones.
The document is posted on the "Open Regulatory Legal Acts" website for public discussion until May 22.
