Kazakhstan's President Signs Law to Boost International Transportation with Turkey

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a law on the ratification of the Agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan and Turkey on international combined transportation of goods on May 6.

The statement from Akorda mentioned, "The head of state signed the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan 'On ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on international combined transportation of goods'."

Previously, it was reported that the deputies of the Majilis ratified the agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Turkey on international combined transportation of goods.

Transport Minister Marat Kairatovich Karamaev stated that the aim of the agreement is to further promote the development of road, rail, and water transport systems.

The ratification of this agreement is expected to give a positive impetus to the further development of transit and transport potential, as well as trade and economic relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Turkey. It will also lead to an increase in freight traffic by road, rail, and sea transport.
