From May to June 30, 2024, a pilot project for declaring express cargoes in the information system "Keden" was launched at all customs posts in Kazakhstan, as reported by the Department of State Revenues (DGR) in the Mangystau region.
On May 13, the customs post "Morport" of the DGR in the Mangystau region informed about this initiative.
"This project is being introduced to streamline the activities of the state body, automate the process of submitting customs declaration for express cargoes, improve and reduce document flow, as well as optimize business processes. Express cargoes are goods transported as part of expedited delivery for the purpose of reaching the recipient with minimal time delay," the statement said.
The department explained that during the pilot project in the "Keden" information system, customs representatives fill out the passenger customs declaration for express cargoes and the declaration for goods for express cargoes. Authorized officials of the revenue authorities receive and process the declarations.
"Customs representatives, as before, can submit on paper the documents that must be attached to the declaration for express cargoes. To pay and write off customs duties and taxes for the declarations for goods for express cargoes in the 'Keden' information system, participants of the pilot project must use budget classification code 106119. Payment of customs duties is made in full," they added.
