Kazakhstan's "National Fund for Children" Project Progress Update

The Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan provided an update today, March 12, 2024, on the progress of the "National Fund for Children" project.

According to the information published on the website of JSC "Unified Accumulative Pension Fund" as of March 1, 775 individuals have withdrawn $42,078.34 for improving housing conditions and education expenses.

The Ministry of Finance reported that as of the beginning of 2024, the number of participants meeting the specific criteria reached 6,919,131 people, with 304,815 individuals turning 18 in 2024.

The total amount accumulated from 50% of the average investment income over 18 years is $695,519,269, with each child receiving $100.52, as stated in the announcement.

Parents or legal guardians of minors can view the accrued funds on the egov.kz portal and the enpf.kz website.

Children who reach the age of majority in 2024 have already received a total of $30,640,003.80 in the JSC "Unified Accumulative Pension Fund."

The Ministry of Finance emphasized that the launch of the "National Fund for Children" project was initiated by the head of state, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, in September 2022.

The Minister of Industry and Construction approved the Rules for using targeted accumulations from the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund for improving housing conditions by order dated February 26, 2024.
