Rising Water Levels in Ural River in Atirau Region: Latest Update

The emergency response headquarters in the Atirau region provided an update on the water levels in the Ural River on April 22, 2024. Due to water inflow from the West Kazakhstan region, the water level in the Ural River in the Atirau region has changed. At the hydrological station on the Ural River in Inderbor, the level is at 582 cm, with an increase of 8 cm in a day.

Meanwhile, at the hydrological station in Makhamber on the Ural River, the level has stabilized at 706 cm, showing a rise of 7 cm. In Atirau, at the hydrological station on the Ural River, the level is at 412 cm, with a 3 cm increase in a day. Specialists emphasize that this is not the limit, and they anticipate a further rise in water levels.

The day before, on April 21, 2024, it was reported that the water level in the Zhaiyk River in Atirau had exceeded 4 meters. Specialists are closely monitoring the level, flow, depth, and width of the river every four hours to ensure the safety of the region.
