On April 27, as part of the republican campaign "Taza Qazaqstan" and the city campaign "Almaty - Our Common Home", a city-wide campaign "Almaty - a Garden City" took place.
The mayor of the metropolis, Erbolat Dosaev, took part in planting fruit trees: 500 apple and 500 apricot seedlings were planted.
Well-known residents of Almaty, athletes, and celebrities responded to the campaign, planting apple alleys in different parts of the city alongside the residents.
An apple orchard also appeared in the territory of ALA Park, where 2270 seedlings were planted. Another approximately 1000 seedlings of deciduous trees were planted on the observation platform along the Boralday River.
Participants of the "Almaty - a Garden City" campaign not only contributed to greening and preserving the environment but also took part in creative contests and active games.
In total, 8205 green plantings were planted, including 4515 fruit trees, 1090 deciduous trees, and 2600 shrubs.
It is worth noting that from April 8 to May 8, the campaign "Almaty - Our Common Home" is taking place in Almaty. Every resident can contribute to the development and improvement of the city.
