Water Levels in Kazakhstan's Reservoirs: Ministry Shares Updates on Capacity

In the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of Kazakhstan, the situation at the country's reservoirs as of May 2, 2024 was discussed.

According to the information provided, the following reservoirs are filled to 100%:

- Two large reservoirs in Akmolinskaya region;

- Two large reservoirs in Severo-Kazakhstanskaya region.

The ministry also shared data on the water levels in reservoirs in other regions of the country:

- Three large reservoirs in Karagandinskaya region are on average at 98.6% capacity;

- Two large reservoirs in Aktubinskaya region are on average at 97% capacity;

- Two large reservoirs in Kostanayskaya region are on average at 92% capacity;

- Four large reservoirs in Zapadno-Kazakhstanskaya region are on average at 88% capacity;

- Two large reservoirs in Vostochno-Kazakhstanskaya region are on average at 82.4% capacity;

- Shulbinskoye reservoir in Abayskaya region is at 39.8% capacity.

"The water collected in the reservoirs is further directed for use in agriculture and industry," clarified the press service of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of Kazakhstan on May 3.
