The Karaganda region police department has a new chief, Negmet Ismagulov. He has been serving in law enforcement since June 1995, holding various leadership positions, with his most recent role being the deputy chief of the Kostanay region police department. Ismagulov has been awarded the "Eren enbegi ushin" medal by presidential decree.
Previously, Sanzhar Adilov held the position and was appointed in May 2023. Adilov now leads the Karaganda Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Adilov began his law enforcement career in 1999, holding leadership positions within the police system. In 2019, he was appointed as the head of the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and since May 2023, he held the position of chief of the Karaganda region police department.
