Magical Jazz Night at Kyrgyz National Conservatory with Berki Tamás & Péter Sárik

In the Kyrgyz National Conservatory named after Kalya Moldobasanov, a concert of Hungarian performers Berki Tamás & Péter Sárik Trió took place. This information was reported by the Embassy of Hungary.

The concert featured the greatest jazz hits from around the world and cover versions of classical pieces performed by Berki Tamás (vocals), Péter Sárik (piano), Tibor Fonay (bass), and Attila Galfi (drums).

Berki Tamás is considered the king of Hungarian jazz singing and has won numerous awards. Over the past decades, he has been a member of many legendary jazz ensembles, a composer, and a lyricist. Their duet album with Péter Sárik received the Hungarian Grammy Award for Jazz Album of the Year.

Péter Sárik Trió is one of the most popular jazz ensembles in Hungary. The trio has gained wide recognition in Europe and beyond for their unique jazz adaptations of classical music, including improvisations on the works of composer Béla Bartók and the masterpieces of Ludwig van Beethoven. Their album "Jazz Request Show" won the Hungarian Grammy for Jazz Album of the Year in 2014, and Péter Sárik himself was named the best musician of the year in Hungary in 2016.

The concert was attended by Ambassadors of India, Pakistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan, diplomats from the Embassies of Germany and Japan, students and professors from universities in Bishkek, as well as jazz enthusiasts and connoisseurs.
