Today in Ashgabat, a traditional Immortal Regiment march took place on the territory of the Joint Turkmen-Russian General Education School named after A. S. Pushkin in honor of Victory Day. This was reported by the online publication "TurkmenPortal".
Participants of the annual event included children studying at the joint school, their parents, teachers, members of the public, and diplomats from the Russian diplomatic mission. The march was also attended by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Turkmenistan, Ivan Volynkin.
The Russian diplomat addressed the attendees with a welcoming speech, emphasizing that Victory Day is an important holiday for the peoples of Russia and Turkmenistan. It provides an opportunity to once again honor the memory of the heroes who gave us freedom and a bright future.
