The Central Election Commission has registered the first candidates for the early elections of a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh in the Batken No. 2 and Kara-Suu No. 9 single-mandate constituencies. This was announced during a CEC meeting.

According to the head of the election organization department, Mahabat Kozhokeeva, Baktyyar Kalpaev applied for candidacy in the Batken constituency through self-nomination, while Turdubek Orunbaev did the same in the Kara-Suu constituency.

The nomination of candidates for deputies in both constituencies will conclude on March 26.

To recall, on April 28, early elections for deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh in the Batken and Kara-Suu single-mandate constituencies will take place. The seats became vacant after the Central Election Commission prematurely terminated the powers of Iskender Matraimov and Nurlan Rajabaliyev based on their applications. On the same day, early elections for a deputy in the Osh single-mandate constituency will also be held. The seat became vacant after Aibek Osmonov resigned as a deputy.
