Rashid Meredov, the Head of the foreign policy department, met with the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, during his visit to Astana. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported this meeting.
During the meeting, it was noted that the Turkmen-Kazakh relations are of a strategic nature, with a particular emphasis on high-level contacts. The effectiveness of cooperation within authoritative international organizations, including the United Nations, was highlighted by both parties.
The discussions also touched upon the prospective directions for further strengthening intergovernmental ties in political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres. The productivity of intergovernmental, inter-parliamentary, interdepartmental, and inter-ministerial relations was acknowledged.
