The Central Election Commission has received statements from candidates intending to run for the parliament in the Batken No. 2 and Kara-Suu No. 9 single-mandate electoral districts.

In the Batken district, six candidates submitted their applications for self-nomination. Among them are individuals from various professional backgrounds such as border security, geopark management, private entrepreneurship, and education in IT.

In the Kara-Suu district, seven candidates have submitted their applications, including a delegate of the People's Council, a retiree engaged in individual entrepreneurship, a legal aid service chief, and others with diverse experiences. These submissions come ahead of the by-elections for the vacancies left by the early termination of the mandates of Iskender Matraimov, Nurlan Rajabaliyev, and Aybek Osmonov.

The by-elections for the parliamentary seats in the Batken and Kara-Suu districts are scheduled for April 28. These seats became vacant after the early termination of the mandates of the aforementioned former deputies. Simultaneously, a by-election will be held in the Osh single-mandate district following the resignation of Aybek Osmonov.
