In the Chinese city of Qingdao, consular consultations took place between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the People's Republic of China. The discussions focused on important consular issues related to cooperation and joint efforts in various aspects of the two countries' interactions, as reported by the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
One of the key aspects of the discussion was the question of liberalizing the visa regime between Kyrgyzstan and China. Both sides emphasized the importance of simplifying and expediting visa issuance procedures for citizens of both countries, which contributes to strengthening tourist, business, and cultural ties.
During the consultations, particular attention was given to issues concerning the protection of the rights and interests of citizens and enterprises of Kyrgyzstan and China. There was a readiness expressed for active cooperation in this area to ensure justice and legality in the activities of citizens and entrepreneurs.
The transfer of convicts was also discussed. The Kyrgyz side requested assistance from the Chinese side in expediting the transfer of convicted citizens from China to Kyrgyzstan. The need for intensifying cooperation between the General Prosecutor's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Justice of the People's Republic of China on this matter was emphasized.
