Gas Pipeline Delay in Talas Region Raises Concerns Among Residents

in Politics / Kyrgyzstan - by

Several villages in the Talas region were unable to receive gas due to the fault of the president's representative office in the region. This information was revealed during a meeting of the parliamentary committee on the fuel and energy complex, subsoil use, and industrial policy.

Deputy Marat Murataliev received a letter from residents of Talas stating that in villages along the Bukhara gas field - Tashkent - Bishkek - Almaty gas pipeline route, they were unable to access natural gas. Murataliev raised concerns about the delay in providing gas to villages such as Kok-Sai, Sheker, Archagul, and Kaynar, despite the pipeline passing through their area.

Arzymat Aldayarov, Deputy General Director of Gazprom Kyrgyzstan, explained that the issue of co-financing was discussed with the president's representative office in the Talas region last year. However, due to certain questions from the representative office, the project was postponed.

After hearing this, Murataliev suggested inviting the president's representative to the meeting to discuss the matter further. The delay in providing gas to these villages has sparked discussions and calls for action to address the issue promptly.
