The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reported that the Kyrgyz Embassy in Russia facilitated a meeting between representatives of the Social Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic and leaders and activists of the Kyrgyz diaspora in the Russian Federation.
The meetings were held in two formats: one through a video conference with Kyrgyz diaspora members in various regions of Russia, and the other in person with the Kyrgyz diaspora in Moscow and the Moscow region.
During the discussions, the Social Fund shared information on pension provision for Kyrgyz citizens within the Eurasian Economic Union, the regulatory framework in place, differences in pension systems between Kyrgyzstan and Russia, efforts to simplify pension procedures by Kyrgyz authorities, outcomes of meetings with the Russian side, progress in developing a new international cooperation agreement, and responses to other citizen queries.
Special emphasis was placed on the importance of engaging in legal employment in Russia to secure pension rights for Kyrgyz citizens. Participants were encouraged by the Embassy to share the acquired information with fellow compatriots residing in Russia.
