Land Amnesty Begins in Chui Region for Cottage Settlements

in Politics / Kyrgyzstan - by

A land amnesty has commenced in the Chui region among cottage settlements, as announced by the presidential representative in the area. The authorized representative of the president in the Chui region, Kanat Dzhumagaziev, discussed the land amnesty with the heads of cottage cooperatives in the region.

Kyrgyzstan has over 400 gardening associations, with about 70 percent of them located in the Chui region. Cooperative representatives highlighted the problems faced by residents of cottage settlements, primarily the lack of registration. Without the status of a populated area in cottage settlements, it is impossible to build medical and obstetric centers, schools, kindergartens, and other social facilities. Additionally, residents are using their own funds to install power substations and attempt to build roads and bridges.

Kanat Dzhumagaziev mentioned that, at the initiative of President Sadyr Japarov, a successful land amnesty has taken place in the republic. Specifically, in the Chui region, 41,820 applications were received from citizens, out of which 26,218 were approved through public hearings. Citizens were issued 18,748 decisions on the provision of land plots, 14,438 state acts, and 3,835 technical passports.

According to Kanat Dzhumagaziev, the land amnesty process has been successfully completed in residential areas, and now it is time for the cottage cooperatives. The official assured that he will do everything in his power to resolve legal issues and provide conditions for the development of cottage settlements.
