Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, Dastan Bekeshev, recently shared his concerns on Facebook regarding the widespread scarcity of essential medicines in Kyrgyzstan. Bekeshev highlighted that approximately 50 types of medicines are currently experiencing shortages, posing a significant challenge for many citizens.
In response to this critical issue, Bekeshev has taken steps to investigate the underlying causes and has submitted an inquiry to the Ministry of Health. The investigation revealed that the shortage is attributed to the geopolitical situation and the lack of registration for numerous medicines.
To address this pressing issue, Bekeshev proposed a solution to simplify the registration process by automatically approving medicines that have already been authorized in the USA, UK, Europe, Japan, or Russia for use in Kyrgyzstan. He stressed the need to prioritize citizens' lives over bureaucratic procedures, as the current system is hindering access to vital medications.
Deputy Bekeshev's proactive approach serves as a beacon for the necessity to streamline processes and ensure the availability of life-saving drugs for the people of Kyrgyzstan.
