The Mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, presented keys to apartments to those in need of improved housing conditions under the preferential category of "orphans." The city's press service reported that municipal apartments were provided to residents in the Leninsky and Oktyabrsky districts.
According to Article 44, Point 1 of the Housing Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, houses are provided out of turn to the following categories of citizens in need of improved housing conditions: orphans and children left without parental care, individuals who were orphans or left without parental care upon completion of their stay in educational and other institutions, including social service institutions, foster families, family-type children's homes, upon termination of guardianship through local government administrations.
