The Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Zaparov, recently held a meeting with Zhang Wu, the director of the Asian Development Bank's representation in Kyrgyzstan. The meeting, confirmed by the government's press service, focused on bilateral cooperation in various key areas such as energy, transportation, healthcare, education, climate change, housing policy, and agriculture.
One of the main topics of discussion was the Kambar-Ata-1 hydropower plant project, deemed crucial not only for Kyrgyzstan but for the wider Central Asian region. Prime Minister Zaparov highlighted the project's estimated cost of $4.5 billion and mentioned plans for an international investment forum to gather resources for its implementation.
