Consolidated Budget for Bishkek Approved for 2024 by Mayor Aibek Djunushaliev

Mayor Aibek Djunushaliev has approved the consolidated budget for Bishkek for the year 2024, as announced by the municipality's press service. The city's budget amounts to 32 billion 590.5 million soms in terms of revenue and expenditure.

Within this budget, there is 868.1 million soms allocated for the joining of rural districts as part of the administrative-territorial reform. Transfers from the republican budget total 6 billion 973 million soms, which will be directed towards the purchase of buses and covering expenses related to the labor payment fund of educational institutions in Bishkek and the joining rural districts.

The mayor's office highlighted that based on the presidential decree of December 29, 2023, No. 370, and the resolution of the cabinet of ministers dated February 7, 2024, No. 52, during the administrative-territorial reform, the authority to approve budgets until the completion of the pilot period has been delegated to the mayors of cities.
